Common Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus problems and how to fix them
The first thing you will want to do in this case is to check and make sure that the notification switch of app in particular is turned on. The next thing that you will need to do in this particular case is a soft reset. This will usually fix issues caused by minor software glitches as it will refresh the phone software. This is also called as a simulated battery pull as it disconnects the phone from the battery. There are cases when the cached data that the phone stores in its partition can become corrupted.
Once this happens certain issues can occur on the device. To eliminate the possibility of this issue causing the problem you should wipe the cache partition of the phone. One last troubleshooting step to consider is a factory reset. This will revert the phone back to its original factory condition. Make sure to backup your phone data before performing this step.
Once the reset is complete download the app again then check if the issue still occurs.

Quite often no notification are shown for not answered calls. I only realize that there was a missed call when I open the phone app. I have been having the same issue along with a few other people. I seem to have all my notifications on but I cant get it to show missed calls on my lock screen or on the top notifications bar like it used to on my S7. Any ideas? Its a MUST have for my work as I get so many calls I need to call people back without having to constantly check to see if I missed a call.
No missed call notifications in my lock screen, or in small notifications bar at top after I unlocked phone. May need to pass this onto Samsung support. Going by user observations, the problem appears to have creeped in after the March security update. This must give the complainants a breath of relief. In one of the more notorious issues that has hit the Samsung Galaxy S9multiple users are complaining that their entire gallery of images has been sent to another contact, with no indication on their side that this had happened. While the impact seems to have been minimal so far, this is a bug with potentially disastrous side effects.
Thankfully, it might not be as bad as all that. On closer inspectionit seems that the only people affected are those who are on T-Mobile and share a plan with another person, who also has a Galaxy device. Still, no fix has been presented for the issue yet, so what can you do to stop all your media being shared with another person?
Users have been complaining for months that intermittent connection issues are striking the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, with problems including periodic drops in connection, an inability to pair, and a refusal to reconnect to car-based Bluetooth systems. It seems that the periodic drops in connection have been fixed via a software update, but some Bluetooth issues persist. Samsung confirmed it is looking into the issue, Engadget reports.
The company released the following statement:. We are working with affected customers and investigating. We encourage any customer with questions to contact us directly at Samsung. Some users are reporting that super slow-motion video on their S9 devices is showing up with dramatically increased levels of darkness in lower lighting conditions.
This bug does not affect all S9 units, but if it affects yours, then you will notice a dramatic difference in the lighting between your Auto camera mode and when you switch to your Super Slow-Motion mode. This can be seen in the video below. If you record your phone calls for security or archival purposes, then it seems that you will not be able to do so on the Galaxy S9.
According to multiple usersno matter which call-recording software is used, the S9 will only pick up one side of the conversation, and will not record the person on the other end of the call. So far it seems that this issue only affects the international version of the Galaxy S9 equipped with the Exynos processor, and the Snapdragon is unaffected by this limitation.
Users have noticed that black areas in media and images are failing to blend properly with other colors, resulting in areas that look pixelated, blurred, or just plain odd. It seems that this is an issue only with the Galaxy S9 Plus, and only affects some units when below 40 percent brightness. The Best Galaxy S9 Features You Might've Missed

Are you ready for the Galaxy S20? Here is everything we know so far! Joools Lurker. Hang on a minute - What on earth was I talking about in my previous post??! The highlighting and un-highlighting of the days is the whole point - this is the way you tell if the alarm is going to go off on that particular day and this is how I have been using the phone for months without a problem.
And what's more I also changed the time that night and then pressed 'save'. I do this every week so I should know. Now I don't know what to think.Hv spa in jb
At least the alarm has gone off the last three mornings. I think it was a one-off fault, come to think of it the phone had acted a bit weird that day - like it was trying to turn itself off or something, so maybe it was something to do with that.
Thanks anyway to people trying to help figure it out! I did the exact same things last night, made several alarms minutes apart to make sure they went off, then set 2 for this morning for 8am and 8. Luckily, I work for a huge business so no one notices really, if you're a little late, but I just started this job a month ago and I'm going to end up getting fired if this keeps up.
That's one of the options and it should WORK! My last phone, HTC Inspire was set the exact same way and it always worked. This one should too.
BynoUK Android Enthusiast. On the other side of the coin my alarm is set Monday to Friday and has never failed to go off, nor have I had any issues when I've had to set it on a weekend or at a different time than usual during the week. Askrauthein Lurker. I had the same problem. The only thing I have changed was to turn power saving on. What I've noted is when in saving mode and I wake the device up, the lock screen's clock is very outdated, after some seconds the clock gets updated. BBaggins Lurker.
If you have your "Blocking Mode" turned on, check your settings. This happened to me as well and I noticed that the Alarm was set to block "Always". Nico Smith Lurker. Scroll to and select "All". Then open clock and click "Force stop". Then try again. It should work.
In my case clearing the cache and clear data alone failed to solve the problem. Blueorange Lurker. Many phones these days are being manufactured without a notification LED—it's a cost-cutting move, and it's really not an essential component.
However, the notification light on Android devices has traditionally alerted users to any missed messages, and this is functionality you can't get without the proper hardware. For a software solution, developer Eugene Popovich came up with an app that will make your phone beep periodically when you have an unread notification. So if you're out of earshot when your phone beeps the first time, you'll hear it when you get back when the intermittent notification goes off. If you're tired of missing out on messages that came in while you were away from your phone, start by installing Missed Notifications Reminder.
When you first launch the app, you'll have to grant notification access so that Missed Notifications Reminder can know when you have an unread notification.
To do that, tap the "Manage Access" button, enable the Missed Notification Reminder entry on the following screen, and press "Allow" on the popup. When you're done there, tap your back button to head back to the app. If you're running Android Marshmallow or higher, there are two more options you'll need to enable.
To start, tap the "Grant Required Permissions" button, then press "Allow" on the subsequent popup. This will ensure that Missed Notifications Reminder can scan all of your notifications. From here, you'll see a message explaining that Marshmallow's battery optimization feature may interfere with the main functionality of this app.
This would only happen when your device is in Doze Mode, but if that were the case, you won't receive the intermittent reminder when you have a missed notification. So if you'd like to avoid this, tap the "Manage Battery Optimization" button, then use the drop-down menu on the following screen to select "All apps.
With the proper permissions now enabled, you're ready to set up the main functionality.Suburban body swap
For starters, make sure the "Enabled" switch in the Reminder Interval section is turned on. Once you've done that, use the slider to set a reminder interval, which is how long your device will wait before it beeps again to notify you of a missed notification. After that, tap the "Select Applications" button, then you'll see a list of all your installed apps.
Go through this list and tick the boxes next to any app that you would like to get notification reminders for. At this point, you're all set up and ready to go, but you may want to enable quiet times so that your phone doesn't intermittently beep while you're sleeping. To do that, tap the three-dot menu button at the top of the screen, then tick the box next to "Show advanced settings.
Now, if you scroll down a little further on the main menu, you'll see some extra settings.Good sam club app
These include the ability to choose a custom ringtone for your intermittent reminder, or even add vibration. But the main thing to look for here is the "Custom Scheduler" section. Enable this, then use the slider beneath it to set a "Working Period," which is the only time that your phone will beep periodically.
